Food Crisis In The Sahel and the Horn of Africa

Recurring droughts are causing chronic food insecurity all the way acros the Sahel region of West Africa to the Horn of Africa in the east. To address the food shortages threatening millions of lives, it is urgent that the world scales up humanitarian assistance. Such assistance from the US government may be cut substantially unless we advocate to protect the International Affairs Account from disproportionate cuts that provide essential food, water, and support to the millions of refugees around the world..
Urge your representative to protect funding for the lifesaving poverty-focused international humanitarian programs that support refugees who live in grave uncertainty and insecurity.
